Patrick is beginning his 42nd year with the credit union movement and has worked for St. Louis Community Credit Union for the past 31 years. Patrick was appointed CEO/President of St. Louis Community Credit Union in January 2008. The credit union has witnessed substantial growth while maintaining high levels of financial strength. Currently, SLCCU enjoys being the 8th largest credit union in the metropolitan St. Louis area (including Southern Illinois) and stands at the highest level of name recognition/brand awareness among St. Louis city residents.
St. Louis Community Credit Union is the 6th largest in member count serving 58,000 plus members. The credit union is a Community Development Financial Institution focusing on serving the stressed and distressed communities of St. Louis City and near County. The credit union employs 185 people, 90% of which reside in those same stressed and distressed communities. With the credit union’s 17th branch, SLCCU has an office within two miles of 98% of the St. Louis City population.

Guest Speaker: Tracy Ashfield
Tracy Ashfield is President of Ashfield & Associates, a consulting and training firm that assists credit unions with mortgage lending strategy, development, policies, product design, training and strategic planning. Tracy also works with the NCUA and NASCUS to provide training and education on residential mortgage lending for examiners and regulators.
Since 2001, Tracy’s consulting work has benefited credit unions and their members. She has worked with the largest mortgage-granting credit unions to enhance their programs, and she has helped credit unions new to mortgage lending establish programs. Her recommendations have propelled her clients to become efficient, profitable real estate lenders.
Through customized training programs, Tracy also delivers hands-on, results-driven curriculums to help credit unions find lending opportunities, manage their operations and develop strategies to become their members’ trusted advisor for real estate lending products and services.
Tracy has more than 25 years of experience in Mortgage Banking management. Before forming Ashfield & Associates she held a variety of management positions in the credit union industry. She was the Senior Executive, Mortgage Development at CUNA Mutual; the Senior Vice President of Operations of CUNA Mortgage Corporation, and she also worked with CMG Mortgage Insurance Company.
Kelly Marrocco is a manager of affordable lending and access to credit in the Single-Family division at Freddie Mac. She manages the strategy and policy efforts for rural housing initiatives and supports strategy and policy for manufactured housing in support of Freddie Mac’s underserved markets plan.
Before joining Freddie Mac, she spent 10 years administering affordable housing programs for a county government. She developed and managed the county’s home improvement programs funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) that provided rehabilitation and accessibility loans for low-to-moderate income households. She also managed the county’s inclusionary zoning program, the Affordable Dwelling Unit Advisory Board, the county’s down payment assistance program and the county’s housing fund, which provided grants and loans to non-profit affordable single-family and multifamily housing developers.
Marrocco holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from George Washington University, a master’s certificate in local government administration from Virginia Tech and a certificate in housing finance through the National Development Council. She is a member of Leadership Loudoun and active in her local community.

Steve Hewins is Senior Vice President, CU Members Mortgage. With more than 25 years in banking and mortgage finance, Steve oversees institutional sales, member sales, and loan production. He joined the company in 2018 with deep experience in sales, operations, client engagement, process improvement, product development, technology, project management, and strategic planning. Steve has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Guest Speaker: David Motley
David Motley is President of Colonial Savings, F.A. and its divisions, Colonial National Mortgage and CU Members Mortgage and the Home Loan Center. With more than 38 years in the banking and mortgage finance sector, David oversees the management of consumer/commercial banking; consumer direct lending, retail and credit union mortgage channels; as well as human resources, legal and marketing functions. He has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, is a graduate of the School of Mortgage Banking, and holds a Certified Mortgage Banker designation. David also served as 2018 Chairman of the national Mortgage Bankers Association.

Blaine is an accomplished training professional with a unique ability to explain, coach and inspire, no matter how complex the topic. He develops and conducts versatile training sessions that teach key industry skills.
Previously, Blaine developed and managed a multiformat program of webinars and live training acclaimed throughout the industry at CMG Mortgage Insurance Company. He holds a Certificate in Distance Education from Indiana University and is a member of the National Speakers Association. Scott Sherwin began his career as a sales professional in 1984. Quickly succeeding in entry-level positions, Scott’s keen understanding of the “art of the sale” propelled him into senior level sales positions. Earning a reputation as an award-winning sales person, Scott supported business development efforts for companies including Employers Insurance of Texas, Kaiser Permanente and Aetna.
After 23 years of a thriving sales occupation, Scott decided his efforts would be most impactful by teaching and mentoring others how to flourish with a unique approach to selling.
